Spoon River Rochester

Devised by Method Machine

Method Machine’s production of Spoon River uses the complete text of Edgar Lee Masters’ Spoon River Anthology, a haunting collection of 244 free-form poems narrating the epitaphs of deceased citizens of the fictional small town of Spoon River. A cast of hundreds creates costumes and characters based on their poems to create a living graveyard for the audience.

The debut performance of SPOON RIVER ROCHESTER was a headliner at the Rochester Fringe Festival in 2014.
