Spoon River Rochester: part flash mob, part zombie walk, part street theater. The show is based on the complete text of Edgar Lee Masters’ Spoon River Anthology, a haunting collection of 244 free-form poems narrating the epitaphs of deceased citizens of the fictional small town of Spoon River. Using nearly all poems with 175 performers, the audience wanders the living graveyard listening to the ghosts of the past.
Spoon River Rochester was a headliner for the 2014 Rochester Fringe Festival.
